Porto center-back Pepe withdrew from the Portugal squad on Monday after contracting coronavirus.
The Portuguese Football Federation announced that Lille defender Tiago Djalo has been called up to the Portuguese national team to replace the 39-year-old Pepe.
Portugal will take on Turkiye this Thursday in a 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier game at Estadio do Dragao in Porto.
