Kit distribution for Anadolu's 1920 Running Race underway
Commemorative race, scheduled for Sunday in Turkish capital, to be broadcast live on public broadcaster TRT Spor Yildiz

As part of celebrations of Anadolu's 106th anniversary, athletes have started receiving their kits for Sunday's 1920 Running Race in the Turkish capital Ankara.
Athletes can pick up their kits today until 8 pm local time, and tomorrow morning until 9.55 am local time, before the race starts at 10 am local time (1300GMT).
Following the completion of registrations in all categories on April 2, the 1,188 athletes who will compete in the race began collecting their kits, which include bib numbers and running t-shirts, from in front of the Anadolu General Directorate building in Cankaya, Ankara.
Sponsored by Gokturk Holding, Ankara's Kecioren Municipality, Trendyol, Kizilay Natural Mineral Water, Kizilay Sparkling Mineral Water, Mixmey, Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi, and Acibadem Healthcare, with Yesilay as a social responsibility partner, the 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) race will start at 10 am local time (0700GMT) in front of Anadolu's newly renovated headquarters.
After a course that goes around nearby Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder and first president of the Republic of Türkiye, the race will finish up at Anadolu, where it started.
It will be broadcast live on national broadcaster TRT Spor Yildiz.
