ROME

Juventus kept their hopes of a treble alive on Wednesday night when they beat Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

Juve have already won Serie A for a fourth consecutive season and face Barcelona - also on course for three victories in the league, domestic cup and Europe - in the Champions League final on June 6.

The 2-1 win over Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome came after extra time. The Rome side took the lead through Stefan Radu's header in the fourth minute but shortly afterwards Giorgio Chiellini equalized from an Andrea Pirlo free-kick.

Substitute striker Alessandro Matri secured the cup for the Turin side in the 96th minute.

Juve, who last won the cup in 1995, have now taken the trophy a record 10 times, passing Roma on nine cups.

They meet Barcelona, who must first face Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey, in the Champions League final in Berlin. Inter Milan were the last Italian club to complete a treble in 2010.
