ISTANBUL 

Galatasaray shutout Hatayspor in the first-leg match of the Turkish Cup quarterfinals Wednesday.

The 2-0 home win in Istanbul gave "the Lions" an advantage against Hatayspor headed into the second leg of the quarterfinals.

Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor also defeated Goztepe 1-0 in their first leg match.

On Tuesday, Trabzonspor drew Umraniyespor to a goalless result in their first-leg match of the quarterfinals.

The last first leg match of the quarterfinals will be played between Akhisarspor and Kasimpasa on Thursday. 

Second leg matches will be played Feb. 26 - 28.

The first leg of the semifinals will be played April 2 - 4 and the second leg will be held April 23 - 25.

The final will be played in Sivas on May 16.

The first leg of quarterfinal matches are as follows:

Tuesday:

Trabzonspor - Umraniyespor: 0-0

Wednesday:

Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor - Goztepe: 1-0

Galatasaray - Hatayspor: 2-0

Thursday:

Akhisarspor - Kasimpasa at 1730GMT

The semifinal matches are as follows:

Trabzonspor - Umraniyespor tie winner vs. Akhisarspor - Kasimpasa tie winner

Galatasaray - Hatayspor tie winner vs. Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor - Goztepe tie winner
