Inter Milan defeated AC Milan 2-1 on Tuesday to reach the Italian Cup semifinals.

Swedish-born Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the opener for AC Milan in the 31st minute at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

In the 58th minute, AC Milan were down to 10 men, as Ibrahimovic was shown a red card for fouling.

Inter Milan leveled the game with Romelu Lukaku's penalty goal in the 71st minute.

Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen scored from a free kick in the stoppage time to make the score 2-1.

In the next stage, Inter Milan will play against the winner of Wednesday’s match between Juventus and Spal.
