ANKARA
German side Schalke 04 purchased Manchester City's Serbian defender Matija Nastasic on Wednesday.
The club stated that 21-year-old player signed the deal, keeping him at Veltins-Arena until June 30, 2019. Based in Gelsenkirchen, Schalke 04 have not yet revealed the transfer fee.
Nastasic has played nine games for Schalke this season. He moved to the German club on loan on Jan. 12.
Having started his football career at Partizan, Nastasic has played for Teleoptik Zemun, Fiorentina and Manchester City. English side Man City had bought him for approximately €15 million in August 2012.
