English Premier League club Manchester City's Bosnian international Edin Dzeko said that he was happy at his club, ignoring transfer rumors.
In an exclusive interview with The Anadolu Agency, Dzeko said that extending his contract with Manchester City will send a clear message to those who claim that he will leave.
The 28- year-old signed a four-year deal with the reigning champions in the summer of 2014.
"I have just extended my contract with City and that should be a clear message to all the talk about me leaving Manchester," he said.
Dzeko scored his 50th goal in the Premier League against Liverpool on March 1st, which he described as an "excellent feeling."
"I could maybe score more goals, but I'm not complaining. I'm extremely satisfied," said the Manchester City striker.
While Manchester City are in second place, five points behind the leaders Chelsea, Edin Dzeko still believe that his team could claim the Premier League title.
"Our goal is always the same, to win the championship. We are behind Chelsea but I think the difference is not too big," said the 28-year-old player. "We will be ready and expect them to lose points."
Dzeko also commented on Bosnia and Herzegovina's poor start in the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying round.
"We will do our best in every single game. We have to play better and win. I believe we can go to France, but we have to show it in the field," he said. The Euro 2016 is a European football competition that will take place in France.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Andorra, their next qualifier on March 28. They are in fifth place with two points in Group B, which Israel leads with 9 points.
