Istanbul giants Galatasaray confirmed Tuesday club head Mustafa Cengiz was discharged from intensive care after having surgery earlier this week.
“Our president Mustafa Cengiz has been taken out of the intensive care unit and taken to the normal room after successful stomach surgery," it said.
The club added Cengiz is doing well after having the operation Monday.
Cengiz, 70, has been president of Galatasaray since 2018, winning back-to-back Turkish Super Lig titles beginning that year.
