Turkish football team Galatasaray on Tuesday advanced to final in Ziraat Turkey Cup's semi-final on an aggregate score of 5-3 against Medicana Sivasspor, despite losing the second leg 2-1 away in Sivas.
Batuhan Karadeniz from the Medicana Sivasspor scored two quick goals at 68th and 74th minutes, taking the Lions by surprise but failing to capitalize after the referee awarded the away team a penalty, which Emre Colak converted at 83’.
The first-leg 4-1 thrashing on April 30 at home in Istanbul was enough for the title contenders and current top seed in the league, who are waiting for the winner of Fenerbahce-Bursaspor match-up after the second-leg game on Thursday. Second-seed Fenerbahce is ahead 2-1.
