Shares of Turkey’s famous football club, Galatasaray, soared nearly 20 percent Friday.
Starting the day at 23.60 Turkish liras after soaring 15 percent Thursday, the club’s share prices jumped by 17.58 percent Friday to settle at 27.70 Turkish liras.
Galatasaray lead the Turkish Super League by three points with three matches to go, ahead of Fenerbahce’s 67 points and Besiktas at 66 points.
On Thursday, Besiktas drew against Akhisar Belediyespor, 1-1, in the Spor Toto Super League match day 31 at the Manisa 19 Mayis Stadium.
Fenerbahce also drew 1-1 against SAI Kayseri Erciyesspor Wednesday night as they lost a chance to close the gap with leader Galatasaray in the Turkish Spor Toto.
Turkish Spor Toto Super League title contenders Galatasaray barely beat Mersin Idmanyurdu 1-0 in an away match on Tuesday.
