Galatasaray lost 2-0 to Spain’s Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, giving the Turkish side no chance of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.

The match at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid saw Antoine Griezmann score twice for Atletico - in 13th and 65th minutes.

In the other Group C match, Benfica drew 2-2 in Kazakhstan against Astana.

With one game remaining, Atletico and Benfica both have 10 points but the Spanish side top the table through goal difference.

Galatasaray, in third place with 4 points, face Astana, at the bottom of the group with 3 points, in Istanbul on Dec. 8 while Benfica take on Atletico Madrid in Lisbon.
