Real Madrid edged out rivals Atletico Madrid 1-0 in UEFA Champions League quarter-finals second leg at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday night and advanced to semis by winning on 1-0 aggregate.
Home team Real Madrid claimed the win in the derby when their Mexican forward Javier Hernandez -- commonly known as "Chicharito" -- finished in the area in 88th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo produced the assist.
The goal sealed the victory for Real Madrid qualifying for semi-finals in Champions League.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid's Turkish midfielder Arda Turan was shown a red card in 76th minute after penalising Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos.
In the other match of the night, Monaco drew against Juventus 0-0 in France thus "Juve" went to semi-final stage by winning on 1-0 aggregate.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus will be competing in the semi-finals.
UEFA Champions League semi final draws will be made Friday at 12.00 CET (1100 GMT) in Nyon.
