Thousands of people all around Bosnia and Herzegovina went out to celebrate the victory of its national team in the game against Slovakia on Tuesday.
This game is qualified as one of the most important for the national team in World Cup qualifications.
People took to the streets in Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Travnik, Mostar, Bihac, Goracde, etc, celebrating with dancing and singing with national flags.
The main street in Sarajevo became a crowded place of celebration place with people shouting "We love you Bosnia! We are going to Brazil” from their windows. Main squares filled with people dancing the samba.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team has never qualified for a major tournament despite attempt to qualify starting in 1998. Currently they rank in 13th place on FIFA's list.
The game against Slovakia is to be followed by games against Liechtenstein (October 11) and Lithuania (October 15) to determine the fate of the Bosnian national team.
