Bosnians celebrate Turkish president's birthday

ZAVIDOVICI, Bosnia and Herzegovina

 Hundreds of Bosnians met in the city of Zavidovici Tuesday to celebrate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's 61st birthday.

The “Night of Turkish-Bosnian Friendship" began with the Turkish and Bosnian national anthems and was attended by official and religious Turkish representatives in Bosnia.

The event included a performance by Turkish singer Orhan Cakmak, who composed a song for the night especially dedicated to Erdogan.

Also Bosnian singers Neno Muric and Mujo Aganovic performed at the event and the audience enjoyed a rich cultural program with performances in both Bosnian and Turkish.

"The event was organized on the occasion of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan's birthday to show how much Bosnians love Turkey and Turkish citizens," Jasmin Imamovic, president of Friendship Bridge Association, said.

Erdogan was born on Feb. 26, 1954 in Istanbul
