ANKARA

German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until June 2023.

The club website announced the legendary goalkeeper's contract extension on Wednesday, with CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hailing Neuer as the best goalkeeper in the world.

Considered one of the top goalkeepers in the club’s history, Neuer lifted seven Bundesliga titles and won a Champions League championship in 2013 after moving to Bayern Munich from Schalke 04 in 2011.

Having been named the World’s Best Goalkeeper four times, he won the World Cup with the German national team in 2014.

Before Neuer's announcement, Thomas Muller, Alphonso Davies, and head coach Hansi Flick's contracts were also recently extended by the club.
