Bavarians taste 5-0 shock defeat in second round of tournament

ISTANBUL
Bayern Munich were eliminated from the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) after suffering a 5-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
Kouadio Kone opened the scoring while Ramy Bensebaini and Breel Embolo netted twice each at Borussia Park.
With this result, Bayern Munich are out of the German Cup second round for the second year in a row. Last season, Holstein Kiel knocked the Bavarians out of the tournament in the second round.
