Istanbul basketball giants Anadolu Efes announced Tuesday that the club's French forward Adrien Moerman underwent a surgery for an ankle injury.

''Moerman had a successful ankle surgery and he will be out for 14 weeks,'' the club said in a statement.

The 31-year-old forward averaged 12 points in 37 games at Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season, helping his team to reach the final. However, Anadolu Efes failed to win the cup after beaten by Russian club CSKA Moscow 91-83.

Moerman also lifted the Turkish Basketball League title with the Navy-Whites in the 2018-2019 season.
