Basketball: Euroleague playoffs begin Tuesday

ANKARA 

The playoffs in Europe's top basketball competition Turkish Airlines Euroleague are set to begin as Istanbul's Fenerbahce take on Greece's Panathinaikos on Tuesday evening in Athens.

Fenerbahce, which finished the regular season in fifth place, will square off against the Greek club that finished fourth.

The match will start at 9 p.m. Turkish time (1800GMT). The first round will be decided in a best-of-five series.

The Turkish side's coach Zeljko Obradovic will square off for the first time against his former team, with which he won five continental titles.

The other match-up of the evening will see second-seed CSKA Moscow taking on Spain's Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz, which finished seventh.
