Spanish media claimed on Tuesday that Barcelona tied up a €20 million deal with Sevilla for Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
One of Spain's leading newspapers, Marca, published on its front page that Rakitic's exit to Barcelona was a done deal, adding that the Catalan side's 20-year-old midfielder Denis Suarez was set to be loaned to Sevilla.
The paper reported that Barcelona vice president Javier Faus and director of football Andoni Zubizarreta was seen leaving Sevilla's club headquarters and the official announcement of the transfer was expected in a short time.
The 26-year-old scored 3 goals and made 6 assists in 18 European matches in the last season, helping the Andalusian team to claim the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League title.
Rakitic is currently on international duty and is expected to be one of Croatia's key player in the World Cup in Brazil.
