Spanish La Liga giants' Barcelona extended their Argentine star Lionel Messi's contract to keep him in the club until 2018.
According to the statement made on Barcelona's website, Messi inked a-four-year deal with Catalan club Barcelona but his annual salary is not described in the statement.
However, the Spanish press asserted that Argentine powerhouse of "Barca" will earn 20 million euros per year, in addition to Messi's minimum release fee which was increased to 250 million euros.
During his Barcelona spell, 26-year-old worldclass forward scored 354 goals in 425 official matches for Catalan giants 'Barca' overall, which makes him the highest scorer in the club's history.
Messi has won 21 major titles with his current club Barca including six Spanish La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions Leagues, two Spanish Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and six Spanish Supercups.
