OpenAI CEO denies sister's sexual abuse claims
'All of these claims are utterly untrue,' says ChatGPT creator Sam Altman

ISTANBUL
OpenAI CEO and ChatGPT creator, Sam Altman, has denied allegations made by his sister, Ann Altman, who filed a lawsuit alleging that he regularly sexually abused her when they were children.
"All of these claims are utterly untrue. This situation causes immense pain to our entire family," said Sam Altman on Wednesday, in a joint statement on X with his mother and two brothers.
His sister alleged the sexual abuse began when she was three years old and her brother was 12 at their family home in suburban St. Louis, Missouri, between 1997 and 2006, according to the lawsuit.
The allegations included "numerous acts of rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, molestation, sodomy, and battery," according to the lawsuit.
Ann Altman had previously alleged abuse on her X account beginning in 2021.
Sam Altman stated he gives his sister financial support regularly, including her bills and rent but that she "continues to demand more money from us."
Ann Altman stated that she suffered "great bodily injury" along with severe emotional distress and depression. She also talked of accumulating numerous medical and mental health treatment bills due to her injuries, according to BBC.
"Over the years, we've tried in many ways to support Annie and help her find stability, following professional advice on how to be supportive without enabling harmful behaviors.
"We ask for understanding and compassion from everyone as we continue to support Annie in the best way we can," Sam Altman added.
