Ukraine claimed on Thursday that it destroyed a Russian tugboat off the coast of Crimea, which Moscow illegally annexed in 2014.

Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence claimed in a Telegram statement that one of its special units “successfully” attacked a tugboat named Saturn.

It further claimed that the tugboat was destroyed in Lake Panske, located about 75 kilometers (47 miles) from the city of Yevpatoria in the west of the peninsula.

Russian authorities have not yet commented on the claims, and independent verification of Ukraine’s claims is difficult due to the ongoing war.
