Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi has said that the situation in Syria got so worsened that Yemeni model could not be applied in the country.
Speaking to AA on Monday, al-Qirbi said that the crisis in Yemen had been solved with initiatives of Gulf countries and with consensus of regional countries and international community.
However, the situation in Syria became so worsened that Yemeni model could not be applied in that country any more, said al-Qirbi, adding that a consensus was not reached on applying the same model in Syria.
Regarding Yemen's views about French intervention in Mali, al-Qirbi said that military intervention was not enough alone, adding that steps to strengthen economy and development should be taken too.
In 2011, following the civil uprising, Yemeni president was replaced by vice president, and left the country, and a transition period started in Yemen.
