WASHINGTON
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone Monday with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot on regional issues.
Rubio and Barrot "reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring Iran never develops or acquires a nuclear weapon," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement.
They also exchanged views on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to reach a ceasefire in the besieged enclave, Bruce said.
Ending the Russia-Ukraine war, securing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the ongoing conflict in Sudan were the other topics, she added.
