GENEVA
U.N. and Arab League Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi met the Syrian government delegation in Geneva on Friday.
On Thursday, Brahimi met with Wendy Sherman, Under-Secretary of State for the U.S. and Gennady Gatilov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, for both sides to help quicken the pace of negotiations.
"They have kindly reaffirmed their support to unblock the situation for us because until now we are not making much progress in this process," Brahimi had said.
Brahimi did not formally meet either side yesterday.
The second round of Syria peace talks in the UN Office at Geneva started on Monday.
