Turkish Parliament Speaker Binali Yildirim met his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in capital Ankara on Thursday.

The two speakers held a meeting closed to the media.

Nguyen's visit to Turkey is the first highest level visit from her country to Turkey.

Following the meeting, Yildirim and the guest parliament speaker visited parts of the parliament which were bombed during the defeated coup of July 15, 2016.
