DAMASCUS (AA) - Syrian dissident forces took control of the Minnigh Military Base in Aleppo which was under the control of the Syrian army.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties stated Monday that an Al-Qaeda organization "Islamic State in Iraq and Damascus" front and several other armed groups took the full control of Minnigh Military Base in Aleppo from the Syrian army after all day long military operations.
Moreover, Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) announced that "Islamic State in Iraq and Damascus" front staged a suicide attack using a vehicle laden with explosives on an airport building where military officers were staying.
Meanwhile, it was added that the Syrian opposition also took control of the Obin and Aramu villages in the Jebel Elekrad region of Latakia city.
The military base in Aleppo was besieged by armed opposition groups for several months.
