CAIRO (AA) - A coalition of groups that support ousted President Mohamed Morsi has called for fresh rallies on Friday to mark 100 days since the military ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi.
In a Thursday statement, the National Alliance for the Defense of Legitimacy said the rallies will start from three areas in Cairo and Giza following the weekly Friday prayers.
"More than 100 days have passed since the bloody military coup and the results are bitter at all levels, let alone the suppression of anti-coup protests," the bloc said.
Morsi, Egypt's first freely elected leader, was removed from power on July 3 by the military following massive, well-coordinated demonstrations against his presidency that began on June 30.
