Iran's new president Hassan Rowhani, to assume office on August 3, is supposed to offer new cabinet at oath-taking ceremony on Sunday

Iran working for forming 11th government

TEHRAN

Iranian President-elect Hassan Rowhani, to assume office on August 3 thanks to his first round election victory on June 14, has not completed the preparations for listing the new cabinet of council of ministers yet.

Rowhani, supposed to announce the new cabinet at his oath-taking ceremony, has established several working commissions to determine the list of ministers.

Although the press insists on some specific names, Rowhani's office states that no name was decided and the list of ministerial cabinet may change until the oath ceremony.

Several names Rowhani met for the ministerial cabinet are as follows:

Vice President: Ishaq Jahangir

Interior Minister: Abdulreza Rahmani Fazli 

Foreign Minister: Mohammad Javad Zarif

Oil Minister: Bicen Zengene 

Intelligence Minister: Huccethulislam Mohsen Qomi

Minister of Economy: Ali Tayyibniya

Minister of Agriculture: Mahmoud Hucceti

Minister of Science, Research and Technology: Reza Maqnun

Minister of Transport and Communication: Abbas Ahundi

Minister of Health: Sayyed Hassan Hashimi

Minister of Education: Mohammed Ali Nacafi

Minister of Energy: Hamid Chitchiyan

Rowhani has to receive approval for the names offered to parliament. However, the names offered for the ministries of Foreign, Interior, Intelligence, Defense, Irshad and Vice President must be approved firstly by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
