The Greek government has submitted proposals for economic reforms as it attempts to secure a further bailout from its creditors, the spokesman for the Eurogroup chairman said on Thursday night.
“New Greek proposals received by #Eurogroup president @J_Dijsselbloem, important for institutions to consider these in their assessment,” Michel Reijns, spokesman for Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who chairs the Eurogroup of finance ministers, tweeted.
Thursday saw Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras trying to secure agreement on reforms the country’s creditors are demanding before they provide further funding to prop up the Greek economy.
