UNITED NATIONS
Secretary General of United Nations (UN) Ban Ki Moon said on Monday that the lives of people should be the top priority of the Egyptian leaders.
Calling on the Egyptian officials and opposition leaders to take the necessary measures to contain violence and to immediately start the process of negotiations, Ban expressed his deep concerns over the bouts of violence in Egypt.
He noted that given the deep rift in the Egyptian community, the Egyptian officials and opposition leaders were duty-bound to end the bouts of violence with commencement of talks.
"I'm calling for the opening of the political grounds for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt" said Ban, stating that he sent his deputy Jeff Feltman to Egypt.
Ban also pointed "Time is not for revenge, but for reconciliation. All the problems must be solved in the dialogue."
