DIYARBAKIR
Diyarbakir 6th High Criminal Court in Turkey has decided three detained MPs, Selma Irmak, Faysal Sariyildiz and Kemal Aktas, to be released.
The Turkish Constitutional Court issued a statement on Friday, which said deputies Selma Irmak, Faysal Sariyildiz and Kemal Aktas faced overlong detention and their rights to be elected were breached.
The Turkish Constitutional Court earlier on Thursday ruled on the release of two other MPs - Gulser Yildirim and Ibrahim Ayhan - on the same grounds.
The five MPs were detained for having alleged links to KCK, an umbrella organization of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
