A group of 2 thousand gathered in Belfast and walked to centre of the city to protest the G8 summit.
The demonstration organized by The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (often abbreviated to just Congress or ICTU) points at World's poverty.
Two thousand protesters attended the demonstration in Belfast starting at local time 12.30 p.m.
The police took extra security measures .
During the G8 Summit, 10 thousand police officers will be on duty for security reasons.
