A total of 55 people were killed in several cities of Syria in operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 22 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 12 in Aleppo, 8 in Dera'a, 3 in Homs, 3 in Quneitra, 3 in Idlib, 2 in Deir al-Zor and 2 in Homs in air and land offensives.
Meanwhile, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said fierce clashes took place between the Free Syrian Army and the Assad forces.The regime forces held artillery attacks in al-Khalidiya neighborhood of Homs.
The SRGC also said Syrian people in al-Khalidiya, Qusayr and Bab Hud faced basic food shortage.
