DAMASCUS
A total of 88 people were killed in several cities of Syria on Wednesday during operations staged by forces loyal to the regime.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, stated that Assad forces killed 39 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 28 in Homs, 9 in Dera'a, 10 in Aleppo, 3 in Idlib, 2 each in Quneitra and Hama in air and land operations.
Moreover, SNHR added, during a heavy army shelling in Damascus, leader of the el-Nusra Front Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani was wounded.
Meanwhile, SANA, Syrian national news agency announced that regime forces took many armed groups under control across the country.
