“The criminal regime of Israel launched a deliberate and ruthless strike on one of the buildings of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located directly across from the Institute for Political and International Studies,” Saeed Khatibzadeh said on X.
The deputy minister added that several civilians were injured in the attack, “including a number of my colleagues who were taken to the hospital for treatment.”
“This is yet another clear war crime, part of the regime of Israel’s ongoing and systematic campaign of aggression against #Iran,” Khatibzadeh said.

Three high-ranking commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence apparatus were killed in an Israeli airstrike amid escalating tensions, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim on Sunday evening.
In a statement, the IRGC identified the slain officials as Gen. Mohammad Kazemi, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization; Gen. Hassan Mohaqeq, deputy intelligence chief of the IRGC; and Gen. Mohsen Bagheri, senior intelligence officer.

At least 224 people have been killed and more than 1,000 wounded since Israel launched attacks on Iran, Iran’s Health Ministry announced early Monday.
"224 Iranian citizens were martyred and more than a thousand others were injured as a result of the attacks launched by the Israeli entity on sites inside the country during the past three days," the semi-official Mehr News Agency quoted the ministry as saying.
Hossein Kermanpour, a spokesman for the ministry, said the total number of dead and wounded had reached 1,481.
Among the casualties, 1,277 were taken to university hospitals for treatment, while the wounded were discharged after receiving medical care.

The death toll in Israel as a result of Iran's latest attacks has risen to five after the bodies of two people were found in Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, Israeli Channel 12 reported.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that 103 injured people were hospitalized, with two of them reportedly in serious condition and seven in moderate condition.
Channel 12 reported direct hits on structures in the Gush Dan area, with several emergency teams responding to the scene.
It said the strikes damaged a number of buildings in central Israel, with fires at impact sites.

One person remains missing following the attack, said the Israeli public broadcaster (KAN).
The strike was part of an Iranian missile barrage that struck central Israel, including Bat Yam and Rehovot, near Tel Aviv.
Bat Yam’s mayor said 22 buildings will be demolished, with more than 75 structures damaged in the attack.
Israel has requested foreign assistance in intercepting Iranian attacks: Public broadcaster
Israel has requested help from several countries in defending against and intercepting missiles and drones from Iran, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority (KAN) reported Sunday.
“Israeli authorities have officially requested international assistance to intercept Iranian drones and ballistic missiles launched toward Israel, with the request being submitted to both France and the UK,” KAN said.
The broadcaster confirmed that the UK has already responded to the request and is providing assistance.

Israel has decided to close several embassies and diplomatic missions around the world in anticipation of a potential retaliatory attack by Iran, the local Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported Sunday.
The newspaper said that some Israeli diplomatic missions and consulates worldwide will be closed due to concerns over an Iranian response that could occur “anywhere, at any time.”
It confirmed that “the security establishment is preparing for a possible Iranian response, and in addition to tightening the security of senior officials, some diplomatic missions around the world may remain closed.”
“In Israel, it is believed that Tehran will attempt to act, including through terrorist cells,” highlighted Yedioth Ahronoth.
‘Residents of Tehran will pay the price soon,’ threatens Israeli defense minister
Israeli defense minister on Monday threatened to intensify attacks on Tehran following the overnight Iranian missile attack.
“The arrogant dictator from Tehran has become a cowardly murderer, targeting civilian areas in Israel in order to deter the IDF from continuing its attack, which is crippling his capabilities,” Israel Katz wrote on X.
“The residents of Tehran will pay the price, and soon," he added.
