The ministry added that 238 ballistic missiles were fired from Iran since Feb. 28, of which 221 were destroyed, 15 fell into the sea and two landed inside the UAE. It noted that eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
The ministry explained that 1,422 Iranian drones were also fired during the same period, with 1,342 intercepted and 80 falling within the country.
“The UAE remains fully prepared to confront any threats and respond firmly to attempts to undermine the country’s security,” the ministry said.
The UAE and other Gulf neighbors have been targeted by Iranian missile and drone attacks since Feb. 28 following the launch of joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
According to Iranian figures, more than 1,200 people have been killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and over 10,000 others injured in the US-Israeli offensive.
