Turkish defense minister meets Syrian officials in Ankara
Turkish and Syrian defense ministers also sign memorandum on joint training and consultancy

ANKARA
Türkiye's Defense Minister Yasar Guler met several Syrian officials in Ankara on Wednesday, the National Defense Ministry said in a statement shared on Turkish social media platform Next Sosyal.
Guler hosted Syrian Defense Minister Murhef Abu Kasra, Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, and Intelligence chief Hussein Al-Salame, who were on an official visit to Türkiye, at the ministry headquarters.
The talks focused on bilateral and regional defense and security issues.
Guler and Abu Kasra also signed a memorandum of understanding on joint training and consultancy.
