Turkey names 8 suspects in missing Saudi journo case

Turkey names 8 suspects in missing Saudi journo case

ISTANBUL 

Eight out of 15 suspects linked to the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamaal Khashoggi have been identified, security sources said on Wednesday.

According to the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media, 15 Saudis aboard a private jet and a charter plane with tail numbers HZ SK1 and HK SK2 landed at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

This what is known of the eight people who have identified:

1- Muhammed Saad H. Alzahrani, born in 1988, entered Turkey at 4:29 p.m. local time (1329GMT) on a charter plane. He stayed a the Wyndham Grand Hotel and left the country on a private jet which belonged to Sky Prime Aviation company at 9:44 p.m. local time (1844GMT).

2- Thaar Ghaleb T. Alharbi, born in 1979, arrived at the Ataturk Airport on a private jet which belonged to the Sky Prime Aviation company. He entered the country at 3:41 a.m. local time (0041GMT) and stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel. He left the country at 5:44 p.m. (1444GMT) on the private jet.

3- Mustafa Muhammed M. Almadani, born in 1961, landed at the Ataturk Airport on a private jet which belonged to the Sky Prime Aviation company. He entered the country at 3:41 a.m. local time (0041GMT) and left at 00:18 a.m. local time (2118GMT) on a charter plane.

4- Meshal Saad M. Albostani, born in 1987, entered the country at 1:45 a.m. local time (2245GMT). He stayed at the Wyndham Grand Hotel and left the country at 9:46 p.m. local time (1846GMT) on a private jet which belonged to the Sky Prime Aviation company.

5- Waleed Abdullah M. Alsehri, born in 1980, landed at the Ataturk Airport on a private jet which belonged to the Sky Prime Aviation company. He entered the country at 3:41 a.m. local time (GMT0041), stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel, and left the country at 5:44 p.m. local time (1444GMT) on a charter plane.

6- Salah Muhammed A. Tubaigy, born in 1971, landed at the Ataturk Airport on a private jet which belonged to Sky Prime Aviation company. He entered the country at 3:38 a.m. (0038GMT) local time on Oct. 2, stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel, and left the country at 8:29 p.m. local time (1729GMT) on a private jet.

7- Mansur Othman M. Abahussain, born in 1972, arrived at the Ataturk Airport on a charter plane. He entered the country at 4:13 p.m. local time (1313GMT) and stayed at the Wyndham Grand Hotel. He left the country at 9:45 (1845GMT) local time.

8- Naif Hassan S. Alarifi, born in 1986, landed at the Ataturk Airport on a charter plane. He entered the country at 4:12 p.m. local time (1312GMT) and stayed at the Wyndham Grand Hotel. He left the country at 9:45 p.m. local time (1845GMT) on a private jet which belonged to Sky Prime Aviation company.

According to the Turkish police sources, 15 Saudis, including several officials, who arrived on the two planes, entered the consulate in Istanbul while Khashoggi was inside.

Khashoggi, a columnist for the Washington Post newspaper, has been missing since he entered the Oct. 2.

Prosecutors are investigating the incident, while the consulate said on Twitter that it was working in coordination with Turkish authorities.

Turkey on Monday conveyed its expectation of "full cooperation" from Saudi Arabia in the search for the missing journalist.

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday invited Turkish experts and relevant officials to visit the consulate, according to diplomatic sources.
