US President Donald Trump departed Qatar on Thursday on his way to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), his third and last stop of his current Gulf tour.
Trump was seen off at the airport by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, according to an Anadolu reporter.
The UAE is the third and last stop of Trump’s Gulf tour, which included Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
His visit to Abu Dhabi will be the first by a US president in 17 years.
Trump said earlier that he would consider traveling to Istanbul on Friday "if it was appropriate," as Türkiye will be hosting Russian-Ukrainian peace talks.
"If something happened, I’d go Friday (to Istanbul), if it was appropriate," Trump said at a meeting with business leaders in Qatar.
