Syria says YPG/SDF terror group planted explosives at Raqqa prison

ISTANBUL

Syria’s Interior Ministry said on Friday that its engineering teams dismantled a large number of explosive devices planted by the YPG/SDF terror group inside the al-Aktan Prison in Raqqa province.

The ministry said the devices were planted by armed YPG/SDF elements before their withdrawal from the facility and its handover to the Syrian Army.

It added that the explosives were safely removed and transferred to secure locations under strict safety procedures to protect prison staff, public property and prevent potential risks.
