Oman’s Sultan pardons 229 prisoners

MUSCAT, Oman
The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, on Monday pardoned 229 prisoners, including 70 foreigners, on the occasion of the second anniversary his accession to the throne.
No details were provided by the state news agency ONA on the nationalities of the pardoned foreigners.
Sultan Haitham took office on Jan. 11, 2020, succeeding Qaboos bin Said.
