Kuwait Emir reappoints Sabah Al-Khaled as prime minister
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid tendered his government’s resignation on Nov. 14, amid row with lawmakers

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait
Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah reappointed Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah as prime minister, according to state news agency KUNA on Tuesday.
Sheikh Sabah tendered his government’s resignation on Nov. 14 amid a row with opposition lawmakers.
The resignation came as several lawmakers sought to question the prime minister and other ministers on various issues, including corruption and the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
