Kuwait: 25 killed in suicide attack on Shia mosque
Suicide bomber blows himself up inside Imam Sadiq Mosque during Friday prayers, Daesh claims responsibility

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait
Twenty-five people were killed and 202 were injured in a suicide bombing targeting a Shia mosque in the Kuwaiti capital during Friday prayers.
Thabet al-Muhanna, governor of Kuwait City, said in a press release that “a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the Imam Sadiq Mosque in the Sawaber area in the Kuwaiti capital during Friday prayers. We estimate five casualties in addition to a number of injured people who were taken to hospital.”
An eyewitness told an Anadolu Agency reporter that “the terrorist entered the mosque and exploded himself during the third section of the prayer.”
Daesh has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a statement posted on social media.
