Israeli PM orders demolition of 3 Palestinian homes

JERUSALEM

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday he has ordered the demolition of three Palestinian homes in the West Bank.

"I have ordered that the demolitions of these houses be accelerated," Netanyahu said in a written statement sent by his office.

The homes belong to three Palestinians, two of whom were shot dead by Israeli forces in an alleged car-ramming attack in the city of Ramallah on Monday.

A third Palestinian was injured when troops fired toward Palestinians, who allegedly ran over soldiers northwest of Ramallah, according to the Israeli army.

Israel usually demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks against Israelis, based on the Emergency Law of the British Mandate in 1945.
