Israeli official says attacks on Iran could last 2 weeks: Report
Israel’s attacks targeting Iran could continue for up to 14 days, Wall Street Journal says, citing unnamed Israeli official

ISTANBUL
Israeli attacks on Iran are expected to continue for many more days, according to The Wall Street Journal citing an unnamed Israeli official.
The official said that the attacks could continue for up to 14 days.
“The likely duration of the campaign fits with analysts' expectations that a single wave of strikes wouldn't be able to do enough damage to Iran's nuclear program and Israel's comprehensive approach of attacking Iran's facilities, leadership and arsenal at the same time to limit the possibility of a retaliatory strike,” the report said.
The report said Israel is using a strategy similar to what it used against Hezbollah in Lebanon -- targeting leaders and weapons to force a settlement.
The official added that the conflict with Iran could also end in a negotiated deal.
Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran earlier in the day, targeting the country's nuclear and military facilities. Several senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists were also killed in the strikes. The wave of strikes is said to have continued.
Iran vowed "severe punishment," and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
