Israeli media did not give details about circumstances of Mahman Moqaddam’s death
ISTANBUL
The Israeli army killed Rahman Moqaddam, head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards' special operations division, Israeli media claimed on Wednesday.
The daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported the killing, without giving any further details.
Channel 12 claimed that Moqaddam was allegedly responsible for an assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump in 2024.
It came as Israel and the US have continued a large-scale attack on Iran since Saturday, killing nearly 900 people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries which are home to US assets.
