Iraqi forces kill 16 Daesh/ISIS terrorists during ongoing operation in Anbar desert
Iraqi National Intelligence Organization forces, with Air Force support, continued their operation against terrorist haven used by ISIS/Daesh ring leaders in Anbar desert, says official statement
BAGHDAD
The Iraqi military, with the support of US-led coalition forces, has killed 16 ISIS/Daesh terrorists, including so-called high-ranking figures, during the military operation that began last week in the western Anbar desert, officials said on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Joint Operations Command on X, Iraqi National Intelligence Organization forces, with the support of the Air Force, continued their operation against the terrorist haven used by ISIS/Daesh ring leaders in the Anbar desert, which shares borders with Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
It stated that two more terrorist bodies, as well as weapons and equipment, were discovered, bringing the total number of ISIS/Daesh terrorists killed since the operation began on August 29 with the support of coalition forces led by the US to 16.
Three pickup trucks belonging to ISIS/Daesh terrorists were also destroyed in various locations, it added.
