Iraqi factions carried out 23 attacks on US bases in Iraq and the region in the last 24 hours, a group said early Wednesday.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq said in a statement that armed factions conducted the attacks using drones and rockets, without providing specific details.

Hostilities in the region have escalated since US and Israeli strikes on Iran began on Feb. 28.
Iran has retaliated with repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
