Iran says it shot down 13 US, Israeli drones across country
Iranian military says missile, artillery systems intercepted MQ-9, Hermes and Orbiter UAVs in multiple regions
ANKARA
Iran announced that it has shot down 13 advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the US and Israel since Friday, according to an official statement.
In a statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iranian authorities said the drones were intercepted in multiple regions across the country.
“Thirteen unmanned aerial vehicles of the MQ-9, Hermes and Orbiter types were shot down by missile and artillery systems in Iran's northwestern, western, and southern regions, as well as in Isfahan, Kerman and Tehran,” the statement said.
